What This Exclusive Partnership Means for Shooters

Hey, it’s Bill with Raven Rock Precision. I’m excited to talk to you today about a new partnership we have with Dead Nuts Manufacturing. We’ve been looking to partner with a U.S. OEM of high-quality Click to read entire video transcription handgun bullets for a while now. We’ve been selling Dead Nuts bullets for about a year, and we decided it was a natural fit to reach out and see if they wanted to partner. We’re now the exclusive retailer of Dead Nuts bullets in the United States, and we’re going to be selling their entire line.

We’ve already had the first order come in, and more are on the way. You’ll be seeing everything from .380 Auto all the way up to .485 ACP, with multiple configurations, bullet types, and weights. Right now, we have a little bit of everything, and I’m going to show you the different bullet types that Dead Nuts is producing.

Starting with FMJ bullets—something most people are familiar with—this is a .45 cal for .45 Auto, a 230-grain FMJ bullet. It has an exposed lead base and a nice, uniform copper jacket. It’s perfect for loading .45 Auto. If you’re looking for something a little different but similar in weight and great for punching holes in paper, there’s also a flat nose variant. The flat nose variant is also available in .40 cal bullets, and we’re hoping to have it available in other calibers soon.

One of the interesting developments in .40 cal—and really the 10mm range—is that Dead Nuts is sending us some heavy 230-grain bullets, which will be great for loading in 10mm for those looking for something a little different.

Additionally, we have the JHP (jacketed hollow point) bullets. These are very well-made. For example, the 230-grain JHP is great for loading self-defense rounds for .45 Auto. We also have them available in 9mm, .380, and 10mm.

We’ve got a lot of new bullets on the way and many ideas for future development. Some upcoming possibilities include 135-grain bullets, super heavy 9mm bullets, and other variants based on customer feedback. For example, we’ve received a lot of requests for .44 cal, which we’re hoping to see Dead Nuts make in the near future. We’ve also heard from customers looking for smaller calibers like .32 cal. While we can’t confirm what’s coming yet, we truly appreciate the input. A lot of what we carry is based on customer recommendations and reviews, so please keep those coming.

We also have a really good sale going on right now in conjunction with this partnership announcement. The 9mm 124-grain and 115-grain JHP bullets are selling for $89 per 1,000, with free shipping on orders over $150. At 8.9 cents per bullet for a U.S.-made, high-quality JHP, it’s hard to beat. These are the same bullets we’ve been selling for about a year, optimized for competition. There’s also a defensive variant available.

People often ask about the difference between the two. The defensive variant has a larger hollow point opening to aid in expansion, though it sacrifices a tiny bit of accuracy. That said, both are extremely accurate and suitable for self-defense. If you’re looking to compete or make high-quality, precise 9mm ammo, I’d recommend the target variant.

More products will be coming down the pipeline soon. What’s exciting about this partnership is the feedback loop between our customers and Dead Nuts. It allows us to help shape products the shooting community really wants.

Keep an eye out—late June is when our next shipment of Dead Nuts bullets arrives. It’ll include those super heavy 10mm bullets and a lot more 9mm as well.

We really appreciate all the business you send our way, and we’ll keep bringing you high-quality products at affordable prices. Read Less

How This Partnership Came to Be

Dead Nuts originated in Ennis, Texas, with deep roots in precision metal manufacturing. After years of producing high-tolerance components for industrial applications, the company shifted its focus to the shooting market in the early 2010s. Their entry into bullet manufacturing was driven by a desire to bring better quality and consistency to the reloading community—without pricing shooters out of the market. Over the years, Dead Nuts developed a loyal following among ammunition manufacturers and reloaders seeking American-made projectiles with tight tolerances and real-world reliability.

Raven Rocks Precision, founded with the mission to provide reloaders with affordable, in-stock components, has been serving the shooting community with transparency and reliability. The company quickly gained recognition for its no-nonsense service, deep inventory, and competitive bulk pricing.

The partnership between Dead Nuts and Raven Rocks Precision came about naturally. Raven Rocks had been sourcing and evaluating bullet manufacturers nationwide to expand its product line when they encountered Dead Nuts. After months of testing and discussions, the alignment in values—U.S. manufacturing, reliability, and shooter-first pricing—made the exclusive distributorship a logical next step.
