Hey, this is Bill with Raven Rocks Precision. I’ve got something pretty exciting to talk about today: one of our bestselling products of all time—our 9mm frangible bullet.
So what is a 9mm frangible bullet? It’s designed to dissipate all of its energy on impact. This one in particular is a copper-polymer frangible bullet. It’s primarily copper, with a polymer compound that binds it together. They’re lighter in weight, but as you can see, they’re about the same size as a 147-grain jacketed hollow point bullet—like the one I’m holding here from Sierra.
Loading them is a little different, and they perform differently too. But the good news is we’ve sold millions of these to a lot of happy customers—at an extremely competitive price point. Right now, they’re on sale starting at just 4.7 cents each. It’s almost a no-brainer to give them a shot.
One of the best parts is we have a bunch of load data on our website, contributed by many of our customers. So if you’re new to loading frangible bullets, there’s a great starting point ready for you.
We also offer other options. We’re direct with Inceptor, a U.S. manufacturer of copper-polymer matrix bullets. One of their most popular options is the ARX. We’ve sold millions of those too, and while they’re mostly sold out, we still have some 94-grain ones in stock. They’re incredibly popular and still available at that same great price.
We also have lighter-weight options, like the 65-grain flat nose and the 65-grain pointed nose. These run a bit faster than the 94-grain versions. The 94-grain was originally developed for military and law enforcement contracts and typically works best with a faster-burning powder. Most folks have had success with Tightgroup, but there are several other powders that work well too.
On the table here, we’ve also got some 9mm brass. While we know many of our customers reuse their handgun brass, we still sell a lot of it—and some of our offerings are a bit unique. For example, we have 9mm brass that’s pre-primed with a lead-free primer. Pair that with these copper-polymer bullets, and you’ve got completely lead-free ammunition. That’s useful not just for personal safety but also to meet regulatory requirements in certain countries or ranges.
We also offer nickel-plated brass—specifically Nosler 9mm +P. It pairs well with any 9mm bullet but is especially great for defensive loads. Nickel plating adds corrosion resistance and helps the brass feed more smoothly through your action. Plus, it’s a great price for brand-new, premium brass.
To sum it all up: 9mm frangible bullets are excellent for training. They’re designed to dissipate energy on impact, making them ideal for shooting steel at close range with reduced risk of ricochet. They’re perfect for indoor ranges or close-quarters training scenarios. At 4.7 cents each, it’s one of the best values for new 9mm bullets. They’re lead-free, made in the U.S., accurate, and safe for a wide range of applications.
We’ve already sold millions of them. When they’re gone, we’ll try to restock—but probably not at this price. Like all our best deals, don’t wait too long—they might be gone before you know it.
