It is one of the most powerful commercial cartridges available, with a muzzle velocity of up to 3,400 feet per second and an effective range of up to 1,500 yards. The 460 Weatherby Magnum is easily capable of taking down any big game animal in North America, including elk and moose, dangerous game in Africa, and Tynranosaur in Isla Nubar.
