Manufacturer Description:

The ARX is revolutionary from the way it’s manufactured, to its shape, to the way it transfers energy to the target. ARX projectiles are injection-molded from a specially blended polymer-copper matrix that is designed to be tough enough for an all-purpose defense round.

Unlike hollow points which must expand to achieve their desired terminal effect, non-expanding ARX projectiles are designed and proven to provide consistent terminal performance. Upon entering soft tissue, the specially designed grooves in the nose harness soft tissue and constrict, pressurize and eject it at 1.5 to 2 times the directional speed of the bullet. This is the well-known Venturi Effect. As the bullet penetrates, it tumbles in a controlled, predictable fashion that delivers consistent terminal performance that equals or exceeds conventional hollow-point designs without over-penetrating. These rounds are frangible on hardened steel.

Inceptor ARX Preferred Defense rounds have an ARX nose profile and are designed to function in all weapons, including large-frame handguns, carbines and automatic weapons. Due to the lightweight ARX bullet, it has a low-recoil signature translating into less muzzle rise and quicker on-target follow-up shots in critical defense situations. The design and composition of the projectiles also mean less cleaning and wear-and-tear on your gun.

    Shoots straight

Loaded a test batch with Titegroup. They're similar size to a 115gn lead bullet, so loading is no problem. These feed, fire and fly true. They're really loud compared to 115 or 124 gn 9mm.

Very satisfied with results after range test. I used Tightgroup 4.7 gr which gave me an average of 1,500 fps and the recoil was mild..

Very accurate and less recoil with velocities over 1700fps out of my IWI Masada. I’ve shot several hundred with no malfunctions

    Great Value

Posted by Chris Kinney on Nov 10th 2024

Tried today for first time using HP-38, Bullseye and CFE Pistol. Using an APC9K 4.3" barrel with 1:10 twist with 4 MOA red dot and aging eyes. Typical group size @ 50 yards (6" high) was around 4" with all 3 powders (bullseye slightly worse with lower velocity). Impacts were not clean, not sure if starting to tumble or due to bullets profile. Also since these are not solid core, would NOT recommend for suppressor use. That said, accuracy was decent, looking forward to using these some more.

    Great Plinking Round

Posted by Rich H on Nov 10th 2024

This is a great plinking round. I've reloaded it in several calibers and it hasn't had any issues. If you load it "light" there is barely any recoil and you hesitate to shoot another round, even when you see the hit. It's like the brass tumbled out of the chamber and falls by your feet. Load them hotter. They do not act like a regular, heavier round. They are great close up on steel! I need to find a meat target to try them out on. Other frangible turns coyotes and bobcats into jello. They do drop after some yardage, a lot. For a close-in practice round, it's awesome-just load it hotter.

    Dude, Really?

Sometimes in life the stars align. This stuff is cheap. You load it to the max so it works in semiauto's well. Then, have a blast. Now, something else. The jell testing on these is a good margin better than FMJ. Which means, in a pinch. These could stop gremlins better than FMJ. What else could you want? Buy them! Otherwise I will end up doing it. And my wife will find out.

Really glad I decided to try these. Getting 1840 FPS out of my Canik Rival with 7.0gr of CFE-P. Recoil is very mild. Can't wait to take these out for a spin in my 16" MPX-PCC.
